The Zero Series is the beginning of the journey.

When I started this series I was very clear about what I wanted to represent and what I wanted to convey. What was not clear at all was how to get there.
I experimented by mixing materials and using different techniques, until I reached the textures I had in mind.
In these works there are layers and layers of different tones and combinations of materials.

I wanted to represent something that looked like the texture of a wall. However, walls that would talk about the past, our past and our history. These paintings could be framed fragments of the plastering of the facades of the houses of any town in Mallorca.
I have sought to convey calm and serenity through neutral tones or less saturated colors and a matte finish. The walls remain motionless, they protect us and can tell us about the passage of time and what they have seen. Taking a bit of the Japanese Wabi Sabi aesthetic concept.

Very simple-looking abstractions that subtly show, through the slight reliefs of the texture, the shapes that the viewer can interpret. If you look closely at these reliefs, the works take on a certain depth.
